A love poem to Leos
Regal lions and lionesses
You are the shining star of the zodiac,
meant to be seen, ruled by the sun.
People naturally gravitate around you for
your warmth and giant heart.
You are creative, playful, protective,
and incredibly loyal to your loved ones.
Authenticity is what feeds your soul,
and you applaud it everywhere you go.
Please don’t ever doubt
how much power and radiance
is felt simply by being in your presence.

Even if you weren’t born during this month, you may have some of your planets in the sign of Leo, and we all have Leo sitting somewhere in our charts. In addition, Leo is the natural ruler of the 5th house, known as the “house of joy.”
In a birth chart, Leo placements- whether it’s planets in Leo, the house Leo falls in, or planets in your 5th house- are all clues to understanding where we shine like the sun with our most unique gifts.
Let’s face it: validation is a common human need, but I think people with significant Leo energy in their natal charts especially crave it. As their Aquarius sister sign (and having my south node in Leo natally), I’ve contemplated the energy of Leo quite a bit. I believe validation is so important to this sign because they put pressure on themselves to always shine bright and show up loyally for everyone.
Each sign is associated with a body part and Leo’s is the heart. Their hearts are so big- and all of that effort they exude is so tiring- that at the end of the day they are looking around to see if anyone is noticing it.
Every zodiac sign has lessons to learn, and I think for Leos the ultimate lesson is that the only true validation has to come from within.
And how liberating of a lesson is that to learn??!!
